Is it just me or does anyone else feel sorry for those poor lobsters you see stacked on top of each other like cord wood inside those live lobster tanks in grocery stores and restaurants? I mean…for cripe sake…it wouldn’t be acceptable to treat dogs or cats that way…right?
Don’t get me wrong…I enjoy a good lobster dinner like the next guy, but it just seems a little cruel to store living creatures that way. It makes you want bust the little critters loose…maybe bake them a decomposing fish cake with a glass cutter inside so the little dudes can escape.

I’m with you! And to add insult to injury, they bind their claws. They say it’s to keep them from hurting each other. I think it’s really to stop one from grabbing the top of the tank & pulling himself out after his buddies give him a claw up!

Actually, that’s not the worst of it. I used to love lobster until I saw how they cook them. C’mon, people, being dropped live into a pot of boiling water?? I know, they’re crustaceans, but no creature deserves to die like that. But even worse is how they do soft shell crabs. You don’t want to know, trust me on that one. And I’m no bleeding heart – I eat beef and chicken and pork, hell I even hunt deer… but this is just tooooooo cruel.

Couldnt Agree More With You I Refuse To Eat Lobsters Or Any Type Of Shellfish For Those Very Reasons (AND I JUST WANT TO ADD TO THAT BY SAYING THAT I HAVE NO QUARRELS WITH PEOPLE WHO DO ITS JUST OWN PERSONAL CHOICE)
